Basic First Aid

First aid simply is: emergency care or treatment given to an ill or injured person before regular medical aid can be obtained. This class is designed to help you provide care to the patient for the first 5 minutes or so until advance care arrives. This training will cover topics such as:

  • Breathing difficulty
  • Head, Neck, and Spinal Injury
  • Bleeding Emergencies
  • Splinting
  • Interviewing techniques
  • First aid care for strains or sprains

 

This class is approximately 6-8 hours in length. When individuals such as yourself take this class, you may possibly make the difference between temporary disability or a lifelong disability for that patient.
